U.S. and Estonia Sign Oil Shale Research Agreement

During the first ever visit of a United States Secretary of Energy to the Baltics, U.S. Secretary of Energy Bill Richardson and Estonian Economy Minister Mihkel Parnoja sign a bilateral S&T cooperation agreement, which promises Estonia $1 million in U.S. government funding over three years to research more efficient and environmentally-friendly uses of oil shale.
