First U.S. Trade Mission Comes to Estonia

The Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), a United States government agency that supported U.S. business investment in countries abroad until it was dissolved in 2019, hosts the first U.S. trade mission to Estonia from August 23 through August 26, 1992. Executives from nearly 20 U.S. companies, including Eli Lilly & Co. and Dow Chemical, meet with Estonian government officials to discuss investment opportunities that will mutually benefit the two countries.
