Estonia and the U.S. Peace Corps Sign Cooperative Agreement

On February 6, 1992, the United States and Estonia sign a cooperation agreement to establish a Peace Corps program in Estonia. Soon after, the first Peace Corps volunteers begin to arrive in Estonia. Over the next ten years, they serve as teachers of English as a foreign language and advisors to small enterprise development centers and in NGOs.
